About the Role: As a Clinical Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of our clinical care coordination, providing specialized nursing care and leadership. Your role will involve:
Collaborating with nursing, medical staff, and other health professionals to plan and care for specific patient populations.
Overseeing surgery scheduling to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Managing patient preference cards for accuracy.
Reconciling surgery charges to keep our records in check.
Leading efforts to improve nursing quality through care planning, surgical schedule oversight, charge reconciliation, and documentation audits.
Educating health profession students and residents with specialized health education.
Communicating complex medical information to a variety of audiences.
Participating in Quality Improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Reporting variances and working to address them.
Recommending policy enhancements for improved care processes.

Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
Current license to practice nursing in Iowa
A minimum of 2 years recent OR nursing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstration of commitment to principles of Service Excellence
Excellent organization skills; detail oriented
Collaborates and develops effective interpersonal relationships with nursing staff, medical staff, interdisciplinary teams, and other hospital departments.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA), or Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP) is encouraged
Expertise in Robotic surgical procedures
Expertise in Epic Optime
Knowledge of OR scheduling processes
Specialty certification within one year of eligibility to sit for exam.
