Job Title: Vice President of Technology

Salary Range: $190,000-250,000

Location: Seattle - Administration

About the Position

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking an innovative and mission-driven Vice President of Technology to lead our organization's Corporate IT organization as well as create and lead digital transformation across retail operations and enterprise infrastructure. This leader will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of core IT systems while also driving cutting-edge technology initiatives to reduce our operational burden and embed technology into our organization.

The VP of Technology will oversee corporate IT operations, cybersecurity, business applications, and infrastructure, while also spearheading AI, automation, robotics, and resale technology to improve operational efficiencies and unlock potential in second-hand retail.

Key Responsibilities

IT Strategy & Leadership


  • Develop and execute an organization-wide technology strategy that aligns IT operations with business, retail, and mission goals.
  • Oversee corporate IT services, including business systems (D365, POS), cloud infrastructure, networking, and endpoint management.
  • Ensure IT initiatives support front-line retail store operations, corporate services, and mission training programs.
  • Grow a high-performing IT team, fostering collaboration across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and innovation teams.

Enterprise Systems, Cloud Infrastructure & Security

  • Oversee business applications (D365, POS, ERP, finance, and HR systems), ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure (Azure, Microsoft 365) and IT security to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Lead cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance programs, ensuring PCI DSS compliance for retail transactions and IT governance best practices.
  • Improve data analytics and reporting capabilities, ensuring leadership teams have access to actionable insights.

IT Service Management & User Experience

  • Ensure smooth IT operations across retail stores, corporate offices, job training centers, and logistics facilities.
  • Oversee service desk and end-user experience, implementing self-service automation and ITSM improvements.
  • Establish clear SLAs, KPIs, and service metrics to measure IT performance and impact.
  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to executives and board members, translating IT initiatives into business value.

Retail Innovation

  • Drive AI, robotics, automation, and imaging technologies to improve donation intake, sorting, and resale optimization.
  • Partner with business leaders to implement next-generation re-commerce platforms, resale marketplaces, and omni-channel retail technologies to expand revenue streams.
  • Explore automation solutions to improve supply chain operations and product lifecycle tracking.

Partnerships, Vendor Management & Budgeting

  • Manage relationships with vendors and consultants to ensure ROI for the organization
  • Oversee the IT budget, procurement, and cost optimization strategies, ensuring efficient spending while maintaining service excellence.
