Sourcing Analyst at Horizontal Talent in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Sourcing Analyst to join our dynamic Indirect Sourcing team. This contract-to-hire role offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth in procurement and sourcing, with a targeted conversion timeframe of 4 months.
Responsibilities

• Support e-Procurement systems, including vendor and purchase requisitions
• Extract, transform, and combine large data sets from various sources
• Create tactical ad-hoc reports and visually appealing Excel dashboards
• Communicate data insights and opportunities to support decision-making
• Develop and deliver engaging presentations on key projects or data insights
• Field and answer questions from stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on sourcing strategies
• Support strategic sourcing events, including RFx documentation development
• Assist in developing and maintaining vendor scorecards, cost modeling, and KPI measurements
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and processes

Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or a related role
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including dashboarding and advanced formulas
• Experience with eProcurement tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under time-sensitive deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Fieldglass or GEP
• Experience with SAP
• Advanced Excel skills, including Macros and Power Query
