Position Description:
The Product Specialist QA plays a key role in ensuring the quality and stability of our enterprise applications. This role involves full ownership of testing best practices and methodologies during the software development lifecycle. It requires working collaboratively as part of the development team within a scrum team to support the execution of major and minor releases. This role also requires strong leadership skills as a quality advocate, ensuring products and processes meet standards by identifying issues, championing improvements, and promoting a culture of quality.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
Test Planning and Execution
Participate in grooming, planning, design review, and demo sessions to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems that may impact the quality of the product deliverable.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data to support manual and automated testing efforts based on an analysis of requirements, user stories, and use cases.
Execute both manual and automated tests, documenting results and identifying defects.
Provide daily updates to the scrum team of progress against timeline.
Manage testing effort and defects through the defect lifecycle. Open defects that were not resolved within the current sprint or release should be
Create testing progress reports, dashboard, and test coverage using test management.
Ensure testing is completed to agreed standards and business and operational acceptance criteria are met.
System Integration and Acceptance Testing Ownership
Cross-collaborate with other product teams to ensure integration testing acceptance has been met.
Provide immediate analysis of product issues via triage and communicate findings to the appropriate teams for resolution.
Coordinate and execute FarmView Portfolio Regression testing during quarterly releases.
Report on product and integration success and failure metrics to relevant stakeholders.
Test Automation Strategy
Drive and define test scenarios or test cases to be added to the automated base regression test suite.
Collaborate with the test automation team to groom backlog and track progress.
Process Improvement & Best Practices
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and QA strategies, including test automation strategy.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Director to establish best practices for QA standards.
Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintain and update documentation for test processes and procedures.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Production Verification & Support
Coordinate with stakeholders to support production verification activities.
Work with business and IT teams to ensure testing signoffs and successful deployments.
Leadership
Help bridge communication gaps between various groups involved in the software development lifecycle to build a culture of quality.

It's an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in software quality assurance or software development within a business software environment, with at least one (1) year or more of recent experience on automation testing and enterprise-class application development.
Experience in Finance and Accounting, particularly in a Banking environment, is highly preferred.
Experience in system testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, cross-browser testing, and mobile device compatibility testing in a lead role.
Hands-on experience with automation tools, frameworks, and best practices in test automation.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent interpersonal skills and collaboration skills with the ability to serve as an individual contributor and QA advocate in a scrum team.
Skill Requirements:
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
Proficiency in software quality assurance practices and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
