THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN WEST SACRAMENTO CA.


POSITION SUMMARY


Fields external and internal customer service needs and requests, dispatches mechanics and resources to complete these service needs and oversees the administrative service operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Work closely with Service Manager to identify service needs for external and internal customers.

    • Interviews customer to accurately define service needs.

    • Establish and document agreed priority level, target start and completion dates and cost estimate or flat rate price.





  • Plan service

    • Ensure safety is the top priority from planning through completion of all jobs.

    • Prepare work order opening/job segmentation. Manage work orders through the service process and prepare for closing.

    • Utilize standard jobs and/or target labor hours on work order segment.

    • Keep scheduling system up to date.

    • Identify PIP/PSP/CSA opportunities in conjunction with requested service needs.

    • Pre-plan tooling, parts and assistance needs.

    • Ensure all purchase orders are immediately entered on work orders.





  • Dispatch field service personnel. Provide instruction details as required to the appropriate technician who can perform the job in a satisfactory fashion.

  • Pro-actively communicate and document all changes to customers.

    • Scheduling changes.

    • Job status changes.

    • Cost estimates/flat rate prices.

    • Other duties as assigned.




SKILLS



  • Ability to read and comprehend technical service manuals, other instructions and correspondence and memos.

  • Ability to write and comprehend service reports.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add and subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,

  • common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.



    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE


    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five or more years or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS



    • Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean DMV report.

    The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision. Peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 


    WORK ENVIRONMENT 


    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate


    COMPENSATION


    Wage Range $75,000 to $85,000 Annually


    Wage depends on knowledge, skills and ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
