Location: Cranbury, NJ

Salary: $25.00 USD Hourly - $30.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Maintenance Tech who is hands-on and willing to learn and grow.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment such as gearboxes and motors. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facility, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of production equipment, including motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, controls, and motors.

• Maintain and service HVAC systems, ensuring optimal temperature and ventilation in the facility.

• Monitor and maintain equipment performance, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and operational efficiency.

• Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment as needed.

• Perform preventive maintenance and document all maintenance activities.

• Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency repairs or breakdowns to minimize production disruptions.

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and ensure optimal equipment performance.

• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.


Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is required.

• Strong understanding and experience with HVAC, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment (motors, gearboxes, etc.).

• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.



Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in maintenance or industrial systems is a plus.

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment.
