Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools and document this as necessary.  Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.  

• Meet with Shipping Supervisor to schedule shipments for the day and monitors shop order progress to create daily and next day shipping lists.


• Initiates creation of customer invoice through entry of shipping information both domestic and international using computer and manual forms.


• Manages stock shipment paperwork and pulls stock lists. 


• Maintain finished good inventory list and outside vendor. 


• Communicates with supervisors and customer service as needed regarding any product shortages.


• Provide daily support on shipments, working with billing, accounting, estimating and engineering.


• Works with customer care on quoting for trucking companies and calls turck lines to schedule freight as necessary. 


• Works with carriers to verify quantity, type and proper load distribution of product being shipped. 


• Assists in preforming inventory audits, cycle counts, reconciliation, physical inventory and final processing of bills.


• Be able to attend weekly shipping meetings.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

• Basic computer knowledge and online applications 


• UPS and other shipping equipment


• Electronic scale

• Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.  


• Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.


• Must have a basic understanding of computers.


• Must have reading, writing and simple math skills.


• Must be able to read blue prints.


• Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
