Staff Accountant at Ledgent Finance & Accounting in Los Angeles, California

Job Description:

Summary:



Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join a growing finance team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with the flexibility to work both remotely and from the Culver City office. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of general accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.



Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.


• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and vendor/customer communications.


• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.


• Perform bank reconciliations and support cash management efforts.


• Collaborate on internal and external audits and ensure adherence to compliance standards.


• Support month-end and year-end close processes.


• Recommend and help implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Minimum 2 years of general accounting experience.


• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.


• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry.


• Familiarity with GAAP and industry-specific accounting practices.
