Talent Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities: As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in attracting and hiring top talent to meet Gexpro Services’ goals. This role supports hiring across multiple locations nationwide and partners closely with hiring managers, HR peers, and external vendors to create a seamless and impactful recruiting experience.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Essential Responsibilities 

  • Candidate Experience and Hiring Process
    1. Own the full-cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, extending offers, managing the pre-employment process and onboarding
    2. Partner with hiring managers to develop effective and tailored recruiting strategies
    3. Continuously enhance the candidate experience and reduce time-to-fill
  • Sourcing and Pipeline Development
    1. Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, job fairs, networking and other creative channels
    2. Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
    3. Assess applicants’ skills, knowledge and fit through resume screening and interviews
    4. Build and participate in college and university recruiting programs, including career fairs, internship pipelines, and on-campus partnerships.
  • Collaboration and Reporting
    1. Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers on job requirements and market trends
    2. Provide timely recruiting metrics and insights to leadership
    3. Foster positive relationships with candidates, internal stakeholders, and external recruitment partners
  • Temporary Employee and Agency Management

           1. Identify agencies and negotiate terms of contracts
           2. Track and report weekly on temporary employees throughout the US

  • Systems and Process Improvement
    1. Serve as a subject matter expert and champion for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
    2. Manage recruitment platform relationships (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, JobTarget)
    3. Support general HR initiatives and duties as needed during slower recruitment periods
    4. Monitor, recommend and apply HR recruiting best practices
  • Act as a point of contact and build positive candidate relationships during the selection process.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Skills, Knowledge, and Education

  • Experience: Previous talent acquisition experience, ideally in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in ATS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong Communicator: Clear, confident, and engaging with candidates and hiring managers
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Excellent time management and follow-through
  • Adaptable & Collaborative: Able to work independently while contributing to a team
  • Mindset: High energy, positive attitude, and a passion for people and process improvement
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
