Shermco Industries is looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist that will help maintain company documentation, assist in formatting and drafting policies and procedures, and support process improvement initiatives across the organization.
This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to gain experience in quality management, process improvement, and document control.
Responsibilities
Document Control & Compliance
Assist in maintaining and organizing company documents, ensuring they are accurate and up to date.
Support document formatting, version control, and approval processes.
Help ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
Process Development & Improvement
Assist in identifying inefficiencies in workflows and recommend improvements.
Work with teams to document and standardize best practices.
Support continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing service quality and efficiency.
Technical Writing & Documentation
Help draft, edit, and format policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Work with subject matter experts to ensure documents are clear and accurate.
Assist in creating training materials to help employees follow standardized processes.
Support Continuous Improvement Initiatives
Collect and organize data to support process improvement efforts.
Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and efficiency.
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the company.
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or relevant coursework/experience).
0-2 years of experience in quality, document control, or process improvement (internship or project experience is a plus).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to learn and work with document control systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Interest in learning about ISO 9001, Lean, Six Sigma, and quality management systems.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
Experience with SharePoint or document management systems.
Exposure to process improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
