Position Description:
We are looking for a Director of Credit Administration. This position identifies and executes strategic initiatives to enhance credit administration practices, including improving existing processes and implementing new, innovative solutions as appropriate. Supervises individual contributors and is responsible for the performance of the credit operations department. Coordinates with other departments to ensure that the credit operations department is providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Serves as primary contact for internal and external auditors and reviewers.
Manages a complex workflow of loan transactions and other ongoing duties on behalf of the department. Ensures ongoing compliance with established processes and adjusts them as necessary to align with industry best practices. Responsible for interpreting and understanding details of individual commercial loan transactions related to loan booking and monitoring. Processes complex transactions as needed to support the success of the department.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
Credit Administration & Process Improvement
Develops and implements effective credit administration processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and business needs.
Monitors and enhances existing workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
Team Leadership & Development
Supervises and supports a team of individual contributors, ensuring their professional growth and daily success.
Provides training, guidance, and performance feedback to maintain high standards across the department.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Customer Service
Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure credit operations meet internal and external needs.
Serves as the liaison between lending, credit, and operations, facilitating clear communication and issue resolution.
Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
Oversees compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
Leads preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to best practices.
Transaction Oversight & Execution
Manages a complex workflow of loan transactions and ensures timely completion.
Supports the team in processing high-priority or complex transactions as needed.
Operational Leadership
Identifies and resolves business challenges in real-time to ensure a smooth operational experience.
Leads special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by senior management.
What You Bring to the Team:

It's an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of experience in commercial loan processing or credit administration, including experience designing or operating within a control framework.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of credit administration, loan closing processes, and related legal requirements.
Familiarity with credit delivery, loan accounting systems, and financial controls.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate level or higher).
Ability to work under pressure and maintain productive working relationships.
