POSITION SUMMARY

The Production & Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, enhancing, and implementing systems that increase efficiency and optimize all phases of service or production process, from design to manufacturing. The Production & Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate projects and manage teams to enhance development, team understanding and the timely production.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with teams and specific projects
• Assist with process design projects and ensure the efficient and safe functioning of all the processes related to producing a product, substance, or service.
• Assists with design processes and equipment related to the development and commercialization of products or services that are cost effective and within budget.
• Evaluates existing processes, suggests measures for improvement, and configures manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability, and develop best practices within the production process.
• Supports methods and process designs, creates prototypes, tests, and makes necessary modifications where required.
• Reviews tests on systems for efficiency and accuracy until a quality and cost-effective production process is implemented successfully.
• Works with other professionals such as scientists and other engineers on development and research projects.
• Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, chemistry, or material science or related field; advanced degree (MBA, Master's) preferred.
• 1+ years of previous process engineering experience required.
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, & planning skills with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
