Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation
The Safety Director for Solar Energy Construction will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors involved in solar energy construction projects. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in construction safety, particularly within the renewable energy sector.
What You Will Do:
Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies for solar energy construction projects.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and trends.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to construction safety.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Who You Are: A Profile of Succes
Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction safety management, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification preferred.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in safety management software and tools.
This position may require travel to various construction sites.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
