The Senior Analyst, Contract Marketing is a key commercial role in the US Contracting Organization. This role serves as the lead interface between US Contracting and the Corporate Legal team and is a key member of the Commercial Negotiation team for key IDN and GPO contracts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead interface between US Contracting and Corporate Legal Team
Responsible for authoring Commercial Contracts and Contract Amendments
Key member of the Commercial Negotiation team for GPOs and/or Acute Care Hospital Contract Negotiations
Point person for initial redlines of Commercial Contracts (both standard templates and customer provided templates) including Business Associates Agreements and Technology Agreements;
Provide ongoing guidance to managers and analysts during contract development and redlining including owning the drafting and document control for key negotiations.
Maintain and follow Contract Management System / Process to ensure documents are stored, tracked and maintained
Primary interface between Contracting team and other key functional areas including Quality, Regulatory, Treasury, Supply Chain to support contract negotiation
Effective communicator that can support customer and sales facing calls to negotiate contract terms
Responsible for on-going process improvements designed to support the Commercial business, including review and improvement of templates to drive Commercial efficiencies
Work on special projects as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Extensive understanding of both the Commercial Business and Contract Language and Development
Prior experience with medical device and GPO contracts
Strong problem solving skills; ability to translate Customer needs to workable solution that aligns with Corporate strategy/policy
Good time management and prioritization skill set
High degree of collaboration; ability to work cross-functionally to drive for results
High-level understanding of contract language; strong contract redlining skillset
Strong team player
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, economics or related field or equivalent experience.
Paralegal experience preferred
5+ years' experience in Contracting preferred with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Medical Industry
Work Environment
This is largely a sedentary role.
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
Typically requires travel less than 10% of the time
