Summary of Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with prospects and clients in the agriculture, forestry, nursery, and similar industries, as well as large landowners with off-farm income, providing personalized loan solutions to meet their financial needs.
Consistently achieve and exceed assigned individual sales goals through proactive client outreach and effective sales and negotiation strategies.
Schedule and conduct regular sales call appointments across Northwest Florida, ensuring coverage within a 60-mile radius west and south of Leon County, FL.
Manage a high-performing seasoned loan portfolio, engaging the Chief Lending Officer as directed to maintain Association relationships and client satisfaction.
Handle client interactions with utmost discretion, maintaining confidentiality and fostering trust.
Interview applicants, gather, analyze, and reconcile complete and accurate credit and financial data using the five credit factors (Character, Conditions, Capital, Capacity, Collateral) under the guidelines of differential analysis to determine the feasibility of granting loans.
Ensure that loan requests meet scope and eligibility requirements as outlined in the Association credit policy and Farm Credit Administration regulations.
Competitively and effectively negotiate and structure loan terms and conditions according to client needs while considering credit and collateral risk and ACA guidelines.
Maintain detailed records of client interactions and transactions.
Work independently while also collaborating effectively with other loan officers and members of senior management.
Service loans in the portfolio to retain high loan quality.
Cultivate and maintain a professional and respectful working relationship with the assigned Relationship Specialist, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork to achieve common goals.
Qualifications:
Farm Credit system lending experience is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with individuals and businesses in the forestry industry, agricultural space, or large land investment tracts is preferred.
Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Economics, Finance, Banking, or Real Estate Lending.
Preferred 7+ years of proven experience as a Loan Officer, preferably with high-net-worth clients and/or business operations.
Strong track record of regularly meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent verbal and written communication and social skills.
Works independently and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of financial products and services offered by the Association.
Must hold a valid driver's license and be prepared to travel throughout the Association's 18-county region and other locations as required for business purposes, with travel being an expected duty.
The base salary range for the position is $86,800 - $108,100 plus variable compensation tied to general incentive and an individual production incentive. Additionally, up to 9% employer contribution to your 401K as part of a full benefits package. Proficient in English and bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 - 5:00.
