Position Summary: The Financial Reporting Manager oversees a team of accountants responsible for both internal and external financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and executive reports, projections, and multi-year budgets for the enterprise and its subsidiaries. The team: (1) ensures proper communication and adherence to policies and processes across the organization that enable accurate and timely reporting, (2) collaborates with regional and corporate partners, (3) continuously seeks improvements and implements efficient, effective solutions, (4) provides consulting and research support to key leaders, and (5) leads the external audits. The Financial Reporting Manager helps shape the strategic direction of the function, balancing organizational goals while promoting continuous learning and development for team members. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, train, and foster the development of direct reports.
  • Develop, review, and distribute financial reporting policies, procedures, and related tools for use across the enterprise.
  • Work closely with the Regional Accounting and Finance teams, as well as the Accounting Operations teams, to ensure the timely and accurate completion of month-end close activities, including cost allocation, elimination entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute consolidated financial information, including: (1) monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external financial reports, (2) quarterly consolidated and corporate projections and budgets, and (3) monthly consolidated and regional capital spending reports.
  • Lead the annual external financial audit process, including facilitating the preparation of audit schedules in the Regions.
  • Perform accounting research as required, particularly in relation to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Improve, develop, and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, and controls to support the Company’s financial reporting and internal management needs.
  • Oversee the development and tracking of the Company’s multi-year annual and quarterly G&A and capital budgets, along with quarterly profit forecasts.
  • Work with partners across the company to develop and monitor various burden rates and related party management fees.
  • Ad hoc projects as needed.
     Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting 
    • Preferred CPA or MBA, with 7+ years of progressive experience in corporate or public accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • 2 + years of management or supervisory experience. 
    • Focus on financial reporting or auditing preferred. 
    • Able to adapt and adjust quickly to competing priorities under tight deadlines.
    • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, with the ability to implement new accounting procedures, standards and policies.
    • Strong accounting, analytical, research, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and collaboration abilities. 
    • Effectively collaborates in cross-functional teams. 
    • Comfortable guiding the reporting approach for a growing organization.
