IT Technical Specialist/Architect, SAP FICO at Horizontal Talent in Waukegan, Illinois

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Technical Architect with expertise in SAP FICO to lead and support our client area application systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex global projects while collaborating with diverse teams to drive innovative solutions.
Responsibilities

• Provide in-depth technical expertise and direction in the development and support of application systems and programming requirements.


• Prepare application system specifications and develop, test, and implement efficient application solutions.


• Lead requirements gathering workshops for project scoping and estimation.


• Coordinate with external partners and suppliers to ensure project success.


• Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system upgrades.


• Deliver all project documentation, including change requests and system validation.


• Serve as a technical expert, leading projects and guiding technical staff.


• Evaluate and recommend new software, utilities, and tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Skills

• Degree in IT or a complementary business field.


• 10-13 years of experience in SAP FICO, Treasury, and Banking processes, preferably in the healthcare industry.


• Strong problem determination and resolution skills.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.


• Strong collaboration and partnering skills to achieve results through others.

Preferred Skills

• Prior management experience in a technical environment.


• Experience with EDI integrations and month-end/year-end close processes.


• Knowledge of SAP integration with other modules such as SD, MM, and PP.
