Responsibilities:




Process Optimization:

• Lead efforts to enhance manufacturing methods for cable production, focusing on machining, processing, and assembly operations.


• Design and develop tooling, equipment, and machinery to improve production efficiency and product quality.


• Analyze existing processes to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and optimize material flow.


• Project Management:


• Independently manage small-scale capital projects, including equipment acquisition, plant layout modifications, and process upgrades.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality Control, Production, Maintenance) to implement new processes and technologies.

Cost Reduction:

• Identify and pursue cost reduction opportunities through process improvements, material selection, and equipment optimization.


• Perform cost analyses to evaluate the economic benefits of proposed changes.

New Product Development:

• Partner with Design Engineering to ensure smooth transition of new cable designs into manufacturing.


• Provide input on product design from a manufacturing perspective to enhance manufacturability.


• Conduct trial runs and assist production teams during new product launches.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including operating procedures and specifications.


• Stay abreast of industry advancements in manufacturing methods, equipment, and materials.


• Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Process, Industrial & Systems, or Manufacturing Engineering/Technology.

Experience:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the wire and cable industry.
  


• Demonstrated ability to lead small-scale projects.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.


• Knowledge of product design, quality control, and cost analysis.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and statistical software.

Plusses:

• Bilingual abilities.


• Experience with automation and lean manufacturing principles.
