Staff Accountant at Ledgent Finance & Accounting in WOODLAND HILLS, California

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements


• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes


• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements


• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation


• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies


• Assist with audits and tax preparation by providing required documentation


• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial data accuracy


• Participate in process improvement initiatives and system upgrades

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting


• Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP


• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)


• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)


• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CPA candidate


• Experience with ERP systems
