Baer is looking for SAP BRIM & SOM Lead Consultant for a 9+ month project located in New Jersey


Title: SAP BRIM & SOM Lead Consultant
Location: Hybrid - 50% (alternate weeks to NJ)
Duration: 9 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2

Description:

• Oversee the design, build, and deployment of the Subscription Order Management (SOM) module within SAP BRIM.


• Work closely with business stakeholders to define and optimize subscription management, order-to-cash, and billing processes, aligning them with media industry requirements.


• Ensure seamless integration of SAP SOM with other BRIM components (Convergent Mediation, Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA) and third-party applications.


• Provide hands-on expertise in configuring and customizing SAP SOM, including master data, business partner management, and order lifecycle processing.


• Design solutions for complex subscription models, including digital and print media subscriptions, recurring billing, and bundling strategies.


• Collaborate with IT, finance, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure project objectives and business goals are met.


• Define test scenarios, manage UAT, and support defect resolution to ensure a high-quality solution.


• Support end-user training and adoption to facilitate a smooth transition to the new system.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in SAP BRIM and 3+ years in Subscription Order Management (SOM).


• Experience working in the media industry (publishing, digital content, broadcasting, etc.) with a strong understanding of subscription-based revenue models.


• Strong knowledge of SAP SOM architecture, BRIM billing components, and integrations with SAP S/4HANA, CRM, and external systems.


• Proven ability to lead SAP BRIM SOM implementations in complex business environments.


• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and departments.


• Experience with SAP Convergent Mediation, Convergent Charging, or Convergent Invoicing.


• Knowledge of SAP CRM and integrations with SAP BRIM.


• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in SAP implementations.


• SAP BRIM certification is a plus.
