Job Description:

This position is for surveying on highway/roadway construction projects. Operation of surveying instruments/equipment and compiling and entering data into computer software. Entry-level experience with CADD programs is required.

• The daily maintenance and preparation of surveying equipment and vehicle.
• Provides assistance to Survey Manager in regard to layout and measurements.
• Operating GPS, Trimble, and Total station equipment.
• Maintaining all surveying supplies.
• Comparing survey computations with applicable standards to determine the accuracy of data.
• Equipment verification once a month.
• Attends safety meetings and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4+ years of survey experience on highway/roadway construction projects.
• A High School diploma is highly preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English or Spanish, due to the nature of the job.
• Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs. several times a day.
• Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours. (daytime/nighttime)
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be accustomed to working in an outside environment.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Must possess and maintain a clean Florida driver's license.
