Reporting to the project director assist in oversight and planning of project execution and project management responsibilities in support of commercially driven major projects (>$1B). Candidate will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with the various Tallgrass and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Complete ad hoc assignments as instructed by the PD.
Candidate will also assist with the application and enforcement of the Tallgrass PMP systems and aid in improvement and further development of Project Management processes and reporting tools to create efficiencies and improvements.Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant job experience.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to present ideas, proposals, and results to business segment leaders and to internal and external customers.
Ability to organize and prioritize daily work, including tracking and managing large projects, and see projects to completion while maintaining strict confidentiality (as necessary).
Must possess general understanding of how corporate policies, procedures, practices, and processes relate to the Pipeline business segment, associated business units, and internal and external customers.
Understanding of basic economic analysis as it pertains to project justification.
Ability to identify and establish expectations in an employee/employer relationship (subordinate/manager).
Solid leadership, communication, motivation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage projects(s) that will include working with individuals with varying disciplines, backgrounds, and experience levels.
Proficient in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

For work performed out of doors, weather conditions vary and can be extreme, depending upon location assignment and may include severe seasonal changes which are primarily influenced by geographic location.

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this position will be $87,000 - $105,000/yr.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Assist in developing long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones.
Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, and contractors, ensuring that all parties are informed about project progress and any changes or updates.
Maintain and capture (as needed) accurate and up-to-date project documentation including reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
Provide administrative support to project team members, help them stay focused on their tasks and deadlines.
Serve as a point of contact for the project team to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and contractors involved in the project.
Assist in coordinating the bidding process to ensure competitive and effective costing.
Advise project lead of progress toward project objectives and develop strategies for necessary adjustments. Recognize and promote ideas that provide safer, more efficient, and cost-effective operation.
Effectively interface with customer representatives, regulators, Tallgrass staff and others as required.
Perform all job duties in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Regulations.
Follow all Tallgrass Policies and Procedures and best practices.
Assist in preparation of presentations that communicate project proposals, descriptions and status to upper management, governmental agencies and/or the public.
Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes.

Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
