Position Summary: The person in this position assists the operator on operating a flexographic printing press to produce packaging products according to customer specifications. The Flexo Assistant Operator is responsible for keeping the equipment running product while feeding the machine and checking quality.

Train other employees as needed
Communicate effectively with associated personnel in all phases of the operation and processes, both verbally (speaking clearly in English and/or Spanish) and in writing
Set up machine for production runs
Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, colors, special printing instructions and any special customer requirements
Read and follow specs and diagrams pertaining to printing, die cutting, scoring, slotting, folding and gluing
Continuously check for quality defects on product running, and on the quality of finished product
Complete required quality inspections and paperwork
Work with peers and other department to improve quality and performance
Repair or assist maintenance in the repair of machine as necessary
Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of assigned equipment and surrounding work area
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

The wage range for this position is $19.60-$23.05/hour (wage is based on experience)
