Position Summary:


Helps manage the company's Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system, currently Exceedra. Focuses on contract management, analytics, and trade reviews. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate trade promotions and volume forecasts, ensuring strong financial controls, and collaborating with sales teams on event planning and reconciliation. The role also involves data analysis, reporting through Power BI and Excel, and supporting system enhancements with IT. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to improve TPM efficiencies are key to success in this role


this is a hybrid position.


Job Duties:


  • Helping to manage our Trade Promotion Management (TPM) system, currently Exceedra

  • Main focus - Contract management, analytics, trade reviews. Exhibits skills but needs to develop further in both knowledge and confidence to be independent.

  • Timely and accurate entry and maintenance of trade promotions and volume forecast in Exceedra

  • Maintain a strong control environment with accurate trade accruals, valid volume forecasts, and verified contract approvals

  • Review event projections, actualizations, event resolution and evaluation of deduction balances and collaborate with sales to ensure that the planned volumes and spends are accurately represented in the system.

  • Attend monthly reviews of sales forecast (LOB's) and confirm that the Exceedra system is updated with any notable changes.

  • Participate in annual planning sessions with sales and broker teams to provide additional insights into trade and promotional efficiencies.

  • Work closely with field sales to improve pre-event planning and post event actualization/reconciliation

  • Collect, input, evaluate and report data in order to increase sales productivity

  • Assist sales managers in developing and reviewing volume and trade spend trends

  • Strive to improve volume and trade promotions forecasts

  • Technical duties range from basic use of MS office to troubleshooting daily reporting issues

  • Maintain data integrity within sales operations systems

  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as well as ensure all trade spend and deduction information is recorded accurately

  • Create and maintain Power BI and Excel reports for sales and trade teams for quick access to relevant dashboards and spending estimates.

  • Instrumental in developing standardized tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving TPM efficiencies to meet current and future business needs

  • Work with IT to implement system enhancements to Exceedra and other sales reporting tools

  • Assist with testing of system upgrades as presented

  • Compile monthly trade review data for team and present/send out to field sales

Qualifications & Requirements:


  • B.S./B.A., Finance or Accounting preferred; or 3-5 years business related experience, preferably in CPG industry

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey complex information to broad audience

  • Ability to solve problems, think logically to develop solutions and provide insight

  • Sharp attention to detail and Intense sense of urgency

  • Ability to capture and document business and reporting requirements from multiple sources (II/III)

  • Ability to coordinate and manage simultaneous data analysis requests of varying size and scope

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated knowledge of TPM tool and MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
