Direct Hire Position

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and integrate optical systems for armored combat and support vehicles, ensuring performance in thermal imaging, high-resolution cameras, lasers, radar, and electro-optical sensor systems.
Design and develop optical systems from concept to production, including architecture analysis, trade studies, and requirements definition.
Select components, oversee procurement, and support hardware builds and integration.
Create optics specifications and test plans, ensuring compliance with performance requirements.
Support integration and testing of sights and electro-optical sensors across various vehicle platforms.
Develop and test optical components and subsystems, including thermal imaging systems, color/monochrome high-resolution cameras, lasers, and direct view optics.
Conduct optical system alignment, calibration, and verification procedures in laboratory environments.
Prepare and present technical reports, status updates, and briefings to stakeholders and customers.
Provide technical support to program offices, customers, and internal engineering teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optics, or Electro-Optical Engineering (Master's preferred) with 5+ years of relevant experience (fewer years required with an advanced degree).
Proficiency in optical system design, physical and geometrical optics, and video distribution techniques.
Experience with CAD tools (e.g., CREO/Pro-E preferred).
Hands-on experience with optical design and analysis software (e.g., Zemax, NV-IPM preferred).
Familiarity with analog and digital video standards (e.g., RS-170, HD-SDI, LVDS, DVI, DisplayPort, 3G SDI, 6G SDI preferred).
Knowledge of Military Standards and testing requirements (preferred).
