Job Description:

Duties: The primary purpose of this position is to support research on the genetic and molecular analysis of behavior, with a focus on sleep and circadian rhythms in the fruit fly. Specific duties include Drosophila genetics, assays of behavior, breeding of flies, tissue culture, preparation of samples for histology, standard molecular biology experiments and general laboratory maintenance as needed.


Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Knowledge of Drosophila genetics and molecular biology would be a plus. Must be able to communicate clearly and work collaboratively.
