We are excited to announce that we are looking for Full-Time Procedure Schedulers to join our Long Island Gastroenterology Specialists team in Wantagh, NY.
About the Role:
The Procedure Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of patient scheduling within Long Island Gastroenterology Specialists. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the scheduling of various medical procedures, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care. The ideal candidate will work closely with healthcare providers, patients, and administrative staff to optimize scheduling processes and minimize wait times. By effectively managing the schedule, the Procedure Scheduler contributes to improved patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. Ultimately, this role is essential in facilitating high-quality healthcare delivery and supporting the overall mission of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Experience in a gastroenterology or similar medical specialty.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and schedule patient procedures in accordance with physician availability and patient needs.
Communicate with patients to confirm appointments, provide pre-procedure instructions, and address any questions or concerns.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure all necessary resources and equipment are available for scheduled procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Monitor and adjust the schedule as needed to accommodate changes in patient needs or physician availability.
