Job Description and Responsibilities
The Engineering Representative is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions related to the management and inventory of spares classified as capital assets. This role involves coordinating the tracking, storage, and movement of inventory to ensure that engineering teams have timely access to the necessary parts. The representative will also ensure that capital assets are properly documented, monitored for condition and usage, and comply with company policies and industry standards. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with various teams to facilitate accurate reporting and management of inventory levels, helping to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.

• Create and maintain a capital spare and project budget/forecast for the Pueblo plant
• Maintain inventory records for capital assets, ensuring proper tracking, accountability, and disposition
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to build accurate outage timelines and project schedules
• Evaluate spares history to determine if they meet capital spare criteria
• Generate Capital AFEs for the repair or purchase of capital spares
• Work with Purchasing and Suppliers to ensure cost-effective responses, quality, and timely completion of capital spares
• Assist the Fixed Asset Accountant in managing capital spares
• Develop a capital spare spending plan in collaboration with Maintenance based on replacement histories
• Provide guidance on capital asset policies and procedures for Maintenance and Production
• Coordinate major outages and develop detailed timeline schedules for long-term projects using Microsoft Project
Requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Oracle 11i. Experience with Microsoft Project is an asset
• Background in Finance considered an asset
• In-depth understanding of equipment technologies, limitations, and their impact on safety, quality, productivity, and cost
• Strong planning, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• Capable of enforcing policies and procedures effectively
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to providing responsive service
• Proven ability in teamwork, communication (both oral and written), and administrative tasks
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
COMPENSATION
• $28/hr - $31/hr
