Reports To: Summer School Administrator
Employment Type: Seasonal / Temporary
Schedule: June 30-July 24, 2025, MondayThursday 7:30-1:30PM
Compensation: $25/hour
Job Summary
New Millennium Academy is seeking passionate, student-centered educators to join our summer school team. The Summer School Teacher will provide high-quality instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and support students in achieving academic growth during the summer term.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective instruction in assigned subject area(s)

Create a safe and supportive classroom environment

Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience

Maintain accurate attendance and academic records

Communicate with families about student progress and participation

Participate in required training and staff meetings

Enforce school rules and behavioral expectations

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Education or related field preferred

Previous teaching experience preferred, especially in summer programs or with diverse learners

Strong classroom management and instructional skills

Ability to build relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Flexibility, creativity, and a team-oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with English Language Learners and/or students with IEPs

Bilingual or multilingual abilities

Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching practices
