JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Billing Manager,the Medical Coder is responsible for ensuring coding processes and workflow between providers, coding and billing is compliant and efficiently handled.

This position will work with the Coding Lead to review patient visits to ensure appropriate coding entered, make corrections as needed, tracking the frequency of errors. This position supports the billing team on correcting rejected claims for a variety of specialties that include, but not limited to Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Obstetrical Care, and Vision. This position will also be responsible to assist in identifying and analyzing systemic issues, informing and suggesting solutions to the Billing Manager to ensure system codes, descriptions and mapping issues are corrected.
