Basic Job Functions:


Nucor Steel Connecticut is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accounting Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the coordination, oversight and execution of Nucor's general accounting, financial reporting, inventory reporting, accounts payable, cash management and internal control-related activities. This role is responsible for the supervision and growth and development opportunities for the Accounting Department teammates. Candidates must possess the ability to develop an in- depth understanding of the production environment and provide various financial and cost analyses for driving continual improvement across all aspects and departments in the division. Candidates must have a commitment to safety, quality, profitability (including analysis), and continuous improvement, and be able to provide technical GAAP guidance and maintain and continuously improve the internal control structure. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future). Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (Accounting emphasis) or related field
• 5+ years' experience in Accounting or related field with supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA, CPA or CMA
• Manufacturing or Cost Accounting Experience
• ERP or Accounting System Experience
• PowerBI proficiency
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency

Compensation Data:


Rate is dependent on experience - Starting base salary of $115,377.60
Position is eligible for ROA & Profit Share Bonus, if applicable
