Both properties are just steps away from the Giant Center, Hershey Park, Hershey's Chocolate World, and Zoo America North American Wildlife Park. We are also just a short drive to Indian Echo Caverns, the Pennsylvania State Capitol, and the Appalachian Trail.

Job Overview:
We're looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Sales Manager to be a vital part of our dynamic team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with both clients and the entire hotel team to create exceptional experiences for our guests.



What You'll Do:

• 
  Flexibility & Commitment: Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, to meet the unique needs of our thriving business operations.
• 
  Compliance & Daily Operations: Support the Sales department in ensuring smooth daily operations, ensuring compliance with all Shaner Hotels, franchise, and hotel/departmental policies and procedures.
• 
  Customer Engagement: Develop an in-depth understanding of current customer needs, focusing on key segments like corporations, agencies, associations, tour operations, sports teams, and other large groups. You'll be at the forefront of delivering tailored hotel services!
• 
  Business Development: Help identify and execute strategies to pursue new business and market segments, driving occupancy and growth for the hotel.
• 
  Innovative Marketing: Design special packages, promotions, and targeted advertising campaigns (via print, billboards, direct mail, etc.) to boost occupancy during slower periods.
• 
  Networking & Representation: Represent the hotel at trade shows, chamber of commerce events, civic gatherings, and more, strengthening local connections and building the hotel's brand presence.
• 
  Collaborative Communication: Ensure seamless communication with the General Manager, Department Managers, and other team members to maintain high levels of collaboration and efficiency.
• 
  Other Responsibilities: You'll handle other tasks as needed to help our Sales team achieve their goals and enhance the guest experience.

What We're Looking For:

• 
  Sales Experience: Progressive sales experience, ideally within the hospitality industry, is a must. You should have a proven track record of driving revenue and securing long-term accounts.
• 
  Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with guests, staff, and management. If you're bilingual (English/Spanish), that's a definite plus!
• 
  Education & Knowledge: A high school diploma is required; a college degree in hospitality management or business is preferred. You should be familiar with hotel operations and have a good understanding of sales and marketing tools.
• 
  Local Market Knowledge: An understanding of the local economy and market trends is crucial. Plus, your knowledge of local attractions and activities will help you craft the best experiences for our guests.
• 
  Tech-Savvy: Familiar with Sales and Marketing tools, and able to use them to help meet or exceed business goals.
• 
  Organizational Skills: You'll need to be detail-oriented, with the ability to read and interpret various documents, such as safety rules, procedure manuals, and Banquet Event Orders (B.E.O.s).
