Days: Monday - Friday




Hours: 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM

In this role, you will:



  • Perform routine and non-routine activities involved in the preparation of surgical specimens for Histological processing, according to policies and procedures.

  • Assure appropriate specimen accessioning and labeling.

  • Perform gross description and dissection of specimens received.

  • Recognize when troubleshooting is needed for processing, embedding, cutting, staining.

  • Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards

  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control




All you need is:



  • Must qualify as a High Complexity Testing personnel under CLIA regulations-- bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science or medical laboratory technology obtained from an accredited institution.

  • 1 year experience in grossing preferred

  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.

  • 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with documented grossing experience.
