Job Title:Student Employee (Wooster Campus-Krauss Dairy)Department:FAES | Animal Sciences Wooster Dairy Center-JMStudent will help move cows to and from parlor, milk cows, and help with daily needs on a dairy. Student will help care for lactating cows, heifers, and calves. Clean parlor, floors, walls, buckets, stalls, etc. Assist in caring for the health of lactating cows and calves when needed. Assist employees with moving cows, cleaning maternity barn stalls, calf buckets, feeding calves, etc. Student will also, possibly, have the opportunity to observe various surgeries and procedures on lactating cows, heifers, and calves.

Students are able to work 28 hours per week during the academic year and 38 hours during academic breaks.

Additional Information:70% Student will help care for lactating cows as well as calves. Moving cows to and from parlor as well as different pens. Cleaning stalls where research cows are housed, cleaning parlor, floors, walls, etc.15% Assist in calf and cow health when needed.15%Clean stalls in maternity barn, bed stalls for calves and fresh cows, help employees feed calves, clean buckets, and give clean bedding when needed.No experience needed for this position.
