Key Responsibilities:
Assemble various structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically actuated component sub-assemblies for advanced aerospace projects
Construct structural components to aerospace standards and collaborate with engineers to review design concepts
Provide feedback on assembly tasks to ensure ease of integration and adherence to test protocols
Follow and update work instructions for complex mechanical installations
Safely handle hazardous systems, including those with chemicals or high-pressure environments
Maintain accurate records, ensuring strict procedural compliance and thorough documentation
Communicate effectively within a team setting and manage rapidly changing priorities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (B.S. degree or higher preferred)
3-5+ years of experience in precision assembly, preferably within aerospace, military hardware, or similar industries
Proven ability to drill precision holes, install fasteners, and work with tight tolerances
Experience in reading drawings and prints, along with proficient use of standard mechanical tools and fabrication equipment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of documenting technical processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (citizen, permanent resident, or equivalent status)
Physical capability to work in confined areas, climb ladders/stairs, and lift up to 25 lbs
Desired Experience:
Previous exposure to launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly
Advanced experience (5+ years) in aerospace or related fields
Familiarity with pressurized system safety for pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Experience with heavy lifting equipment such as cranes or forklifts
Competence with 3D measurement tools, CAD software (preferably CREO), and understanding of GD&T standards
Additional Information:
Work schedule: Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM) with potential for overtime
