Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Quality Management process in alignment with industry standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
Ensure that quality control processes are applied throughout all phases of the project (design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover).
Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and applicable codes.
Review and approve method statements, inspection and other quality-related documentation.
Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Provide ongoing quality-related training to site personnel and subcontractors to ensure high standards are maintained.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team and across the project.
Maintain accurate records of quality audits, inspections, tests, and reports.
Prepare and submit regular quality performance reports to senior management, project stakeholders, and clients.
Track and report on corrective actions and non-conformances, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaborate closely with project engineers, construction managers, and subcontractors to ensure quality is embedded throughout all phases of construction.
Act as the main point of contact for all quality-related matters with clients, consultants, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors.
Attend project meetings to provide updates on quality performance, issues, and concerns.
Ensure that all quality control activities are in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Identify potential risks to quality and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.
Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
The Construction Quality Manager shall manage quality matters for the project and have the authority to act in quality matters regarding construction.
The Construction Quality Manager should possess a minimum of (20) years of related quality management experience in heavy construction works in tunnels and underground works with an established record of assignments that demonstrate the candidate's experience as a Quality Manager for a project of the Project's complexity, type and size.
Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality assurance practices in large-scale civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, earthworks, etc.).
Experience with managing quality on complex projects with multiple contractors and subcontractors.
Strong knowledge of civil construction standards, codes, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
