Position Summary:

Midnight Sun Professional Services is looking to hire a Secretary III to provide high-level administrative and clerical support at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). This position supports senior military and civilian personnel by managing correspondence, scheduling, maintaining official records, and handling classified materials.

The NSWCDD and DNA provides comprehensive and dedicated support to the Navy of research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems and fleet support. NSWCDD and DNA provides the military with testing and certification and fleet support at the Potomac River Test Range and Combat Direction Systems Activity in Dahlgren and Dam Neck, Virginia.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage executive-level correspondence and reports.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take formal minutes.
• Maintain filing systems and document control in compliance with government standards.
• Handle and safeguard classified and sensitive materials.
• Provide administrative oversight and training to junior staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Industry Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Four (4) years of administrative experience (at least two with Federal Government programs).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to type 60 words per minute.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of government correspondence and document formatting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Access).

Certifications/Licenses/Other:

• Must obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance within one year (Interim Secret clearance acceptable at start).

Work Environment:

• On base at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA.

Physical Demands:

• Primarily sedentary work with occasional walking to meetings.
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs for office supply handling.
