Position Summary:

Midnight Sun Professional Services is seeking an Administrative Assistant at Dam Neck to provide clerical and administrative support at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana Dam Neck Annex. Responsibilities include managing documentation, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and supporting daily office operations. This position supports multiple projects and ensures compliance with government regulations and security protocols.

The NSWCDD and DNA provides comprehensive and dedicated support to the Navy of research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems and fleet support. NSWCDD and DNA provides the military with testing and certification and fleet support at the Potomac River Test Range and Combat Direction Systems Activity in in Dahlgren and Dam Neck, Virginia.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide clerical and administrative support at Naval Air Station (NAS) Oceana Dam Neck Annex.
• Manage documentation, data entry, and correspondence, including editing, formatting, and maintaining records.
• Coordinate meetings and scheduling, including preparing materials, setting up rooms, and assisting with audiovisual equipment.
• Handle visitor management, answering phones, and greeting personnel professionally.
• Support classified material handling and on-base travel for document delivery.
• Provide guidance to administrative support staff as needed.
• Ensure office operations align with government policies and security regulations.
• Assist with training new personnel and supporting special projects.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies and process requisitions.
• Support the New Employee Onboarding process and maintain personnel records.
• All other duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Industry Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 years of administrative experience, including 4 years supporting Federal Government programs.
• Experience supporting mid-executive level personnel (GS-15, O-6 military, or equivalent).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of government administrative policies and documentation procedures.
• Proficiency in handling and storing classified or sensitive materials (PII, Government records, etc.).
• Strong time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to edit formal documentation, take meeting notes, and draft reports.
• Experience formatting documents in accordance with Government standards.
• Must be able to travel on base for official tasks, including document delivery and meeting support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Access) and Adobe Acrobat.

Certifications/Licenses/Other

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain TOP SECRET/SCI if required.

Work Environment:

• On base at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA​.
