Roles & Responsibilities
Follow safety rules, regulations, and procedures set forth by MSHA/OSHA/plant.
Safely perform pre-shift, post-shift inspections/plant inspections and report unsafe equipment conditions to foreman or supervisor.
Maintain good housekeeping practices on plants and equipment.
Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond accordingly.
Assist maintenance personnel with plant repairs when needed.
assist with the daily production and operations of the plant.
Ability to inspect all areas of the plant to perform necessary maintenance, repairs, and screen changes.
Must be able or willing to learn to operate other mobile equipment, including haul truck, motor grader, water truck, and loader.
Cross train on other positions in the plant to serve as a relief to other operators.
General labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping.
Repair crusher, i.e. liner changes, oil systems, and operations, monitor and change worn parts.
Proper PPE must be worn at all times.
Operating skid steers.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.
Ability, Skills & Knowledge
Power tool knowledge.
Must be able to lift to 50lbs.
Skid steer/heavy equipment operation preferred.
Reliable transportation to and from work required.
Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of welding and general mechanics preferred.
General knowledge of working around large aggregate mines, and equipment.
Welding experience preferred.
Previous work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements and noise preferred.
Must have ability to work independently and problem solve while working alone or as part of a team.
Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing.
MSHA certification preferred.
High school education or GED equivalent.
