TRAK Machine Tools (TMT) is a manufacturer of CNC controls and CNC machine tools for R & D, tooling, and low-volume machining applications. We integrate our CNC controls with machine tools and sell the finished products as turnkey systems under the respected brand names of TRAK and ProtoTRAK. We sell directly to users in much of the United States, with distributor sales in other parts of North America and Europe.

Job Overview:

TRAK Machine Tools is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Tech to join our Engineering Team. This position will be responsible for assisting mechanical, electrical and software engineers with new designs and products.

What you will be Doing:

• Build and assemble Prototype (Cables, Computers, New Machine Systems, ETC) for testing and evaluation.
• Create and manage electrical related CAD Drawings/Documents using Solidworks 3D and Solidworks Electrical
• Troubleshoot new and existing assemblies and systems down to the component level.
• Support our customer service and field personnel on difficult problems. Willing to get on a plane to go and solve problems.
• Support engineers on various projects and tasks as well as organizing their own projects and tasks.
• Process drawing changes through our Engineering Change Request process.
• Work with data management tools such as Solidworks PDM & Solidworks Manage.

Qualifications:

• AS or BS Degree in electronics or equivalent is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience
• Experienced with technologies we use in our products – PCB’s, motherboards, LCD, VF drives, motors, encoders, etc
• Familiar with reading and creating electrical and electronic schematics
• 2-3 years of Solidworks CAD Experience.
• Experience with Solidworks PDM preferred but not required.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or 5 years in relevant experience.
• Knowledge of machine tools (Mills and Lathes)
• Experience with Microsoft Products (Excel and Word)
