Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Project Manager Office Lead within our NYC School Construction Authority team located in Long Island City, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Experience managing a PMO/change portfolio management and control processes, including cross portfolio planning
Strong experience in project portfolio management tools and methodologies
Experienced in resource planning and capacity management
Develop appropriate central frameworks and governance models. Responsible for embedding best practices & advocating our governance frameworks (and coordinating all PMO processes to ensure they are happening when they need to be)
Understanding of the project lifecycle, with experience delivering projects end-to-end
Monitor and report on progress against the annual portfolio plan, long range planning, capacity, financial and resource planning
Lead on maintaining cross portfolio benefits tracking and realization
Identify and escalate change risks, conflicts, and synergies, driving improved efficiency and risk reduction
Solid governance standards to ensure adequate project management documentation, reporting and plans are in place.
Support the wider team to establish best practices and governance into the PMO, and providing guidance and support to junior team members, and coordinating their activities so there is consistency in PMO support
Working with business areas to understand changes requirements and requests (And managing demand mgt process)
Board level reporting
PPM tool management experience - ensure that the tool is fit for purpose and implement necessary changes to enhance its capability; will be responsible for evaluating and implementing the organization's next PPM tool.
Great communications skills - someone who will work with the delivery teams and quickly help with any blockers and assist as required.
Experience in influencing and managing Executives and stakeholders
Ability to produce content suitable for Executive level meetings
Mandatory Qualifications:
At least 8 years' experience project managing large projects (end-to-end)
Detail oriented, team player, soft skills, can follow process by the book
Expert proficiency in speaking and understanding English language

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $70.00 to $120.00.
