Logistics Analyst at Vertiv Corporation in Westerville, Ohio

Job Description:

Vertiv is looking for a Logistics Analyst to join our team in Westerville, OH. This person will provide overall support by identifying and implementing procedures to better optimize the overall efficiency of supply chain and logistics activities. Perform tasks that relate to the strategic and tactical management of carrier performance to include request for quotes, on-time delivery, on-time pick-up, Provide support to internal customers including but not limited to Operations, Sales, Procurement, and end customers. Communicate Key Performance Indicators to measure overall logistics performance and process compliance.



Responsibilities:

• Engage in programs to including but not limited to on-boarding carriers, monitoring compliance, providing tracking, and expediting assistance, training, and carrier engagement as it relates to all modes of transportation. Support Inbound and Outbound Routing Guides covering both domestic and international shipping activity and provide training on shipping processes as it relates to the Transportation Management System, freight quoting and pricing.

• Work cross-functionally with procurement and purchasing team to on-board suppliers according company routing guide, provide training, monitoring compliance, tracking, expedite assistance for all modes of transportation.

• Closely collaborates with plant operations, Buyers, Suppliers, and Carriers to provide instruction, manage expedite requests, and problem solving.

• Drive operational excellence, identify and execute process improvement projects to reduce costs, improvement quality, service and increasing speed.

• Collaborate with global logistics teams in other regions, research and implement best practices across the logistics network and programs

• May assist with customer order quotations for freights estimates

• Provide back-up support in the Logistics Department as needed

• Other Duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or other appropriate discipline

• 3-5 years of experiencein logistics or supply chain management

• Experience in logistics, supply chain management or related discipline

• Experience in a strategic setting in a large manufacturing organization

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft
• Office and job-related software.
• Must have working knowledge with international trade and transportation is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience with data management tools such as SQL, C++, and Google Analytics.
• Dedication to delivering excellent customer service.
• Capable of managing and coordinating tasks across multiple teams to meet objectives.
• Skilled in identifying process inefficiencies and driving improvements.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Collaborative mindset for team and cross-functional work.
• Willingness to travel when required.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS


Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or other appropriate discipline


Institute for Supply Management (ISM), American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS) or Supply Chain certification preferred.
