Social Work Fellow
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Behavioral Health, the Social Work Fellow is responsible for patient care and a variety of administrative tasks. The Behavioral Health Consultant Social Work Post-Graduate Fellowship (BHC Social Work Fellow), as part of the primary care treatment team, identifies, triages, and manages patients with medical and behavioral health problems within the primary care setting. In addition, the BHC Social Work Fellow will provide skill training through psycho-education and patient education strategies and will develop specific behavioral change plans for patients and behavioral health protocols for target populations. The fellow operates as a member of the BHC team and is provided supervision by licensed psychologists and licensed clinical social workers as part of their training experience. This is a one year fellowship with the option to reapply for a second year to gain supervised hours for LCSW.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work
APSW license in progress
Resume, cover letter, and 1-3 letters of recommendation
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior work with diverse patient population
Bilingual in Spanish and English
