The hands on product owner will guide the development/management of a comprehensive monitoring and alerting solution that integrates data from multiple IIoT sources and provides real time visibility across all critical technologies in use within Medline distribution centers. This solution needs to provide visibility into all network connected devices. Examples include Print and Apply labelers, PLC controllers, barcode readers, PCs and Servers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform the role of product owner with the scrum team


• Perform other duties as part of the scrum team as required


• Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements


• Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on


• Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product


• Define product vision, road-map and growth opportunities


• Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are 


• aligned with product strategy


• Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories


• Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities


• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals


• Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education 

• Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar)

Work Experience

• 5+ years of experience with industrial automation systems


• Experience in high volume distribution or manufacturing environments that utilize automation for processing across multiple shifts 


• (24x7 ideally)

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to explain advanced technical concepts verbally and in written format


• Ability to think critically with the vision to work both tactically and strategically


• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, while working with minimal supervision


• Excellent analytical and trend analysis skills


• Excellent problem solving skills


• High level of self-motivation


• Contribute content for senior leadership presentations or report-outs

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with Solarwinds, App Dynamics and ExtraHop


• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities


• Knowledge of Allen-Bradley automation components and software


• Machine Learning and AI experience

The anticipated salary range for this position:

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
