Job Description:


As a Software Engineering Consultant, you will:

• Participate in and consult on moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering.
• Contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables.
• Review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges requiring an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Resolve moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables.
• Leverage a solid understanding of functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, demonstrated through work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
• 4+ years of experience developing scalable Java-based applications.
• 4+ years of experience developing or consuming REST-based web services.
• 2+ years of experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Experience working on Scrum teams and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, MongoDB, Apigee Gateway, Microservices, and Event-Driven Architectures.
• An industry-standard technology certification.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture, including distributed and client-server technologies.
• Experience with cloud-based computing.
• Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) experience.
• Experience with major database engines, including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.
• Knowledge and understanding of the design and development of modern web applications and mobile technologies.
• Experience building microservices based on event-driven architecture and domain-driven design.
