Location: Sacramento, CA

Salary: $115,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a hybrid Senior Information Security Analyst !


GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


The Senior Information Security Analyst secures information, infrastructure, and member data. Integrates security best practices into change and configuration management, identifies cyber threats, and participates in incident response. Provides internal security consultancy and resolves security issues.


TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:


Lead vulnerability management and threat identification.


Coordinate remediation of system vulnerabilities.


Escalate severe issues to management.


Maintain security monitoring processes.


Participate in threat hunting and incident response.


Support projects with security oversight.


Define security system requirements.


Ensure optimal security monitoring with IT teams.


Monitor and report on security controls.


Recommend and improve security solutions.


Train colleagues and mentor juniors.


Update management on unresolved issues.


Support audit processes.


Understand compliance laws.


QUALIFICATIONS:


EDUCATION: Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, Information Security, or equivalent.


EXPERIENCE:


5+ years in network/OS management and security.


3+ years in information security or consulting.


Incident investigation and malware assessment skills.


Knowledge of SIEM, IDS/IPS, threat intelligence, and SOAR.


Familiarity with adversary tactics, MITRE ATT&CK, CVSS, OSINT, and NIST CSF.


Understanding of security principles and risk assessment.


Knowledge of business and network systems.


Strong ethics and professionalism.


Ability to provide technical guidance.


CERTIFICATIONS:


Valid California Driver's License.


Working toward certifications like CEH, Security+, SSCP, SANS GSEC, GCIA.
