POSITION: Lawn Care Technician
DIVISION: Master Lawn

REPORTS TO: Sr. Operations Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Lawn Care Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out applications safely and effectively in accordance with the Lawn Spray horticultural application program as administered by the branch manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Apply lawn and shrub chemicals and fertilizers safely.
Learn all turf programs, including: all turf types, weed types, growth habits, and diseases.
Handling, distributing, applying, and storing all chemicals and fertilizers is in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws.
Perform work for assigned accounts on budget.
Be familiar with label requirements of all chemicals used.
Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated.
Ensure chemicals are being used efficiently and eliminate waste.
Identify new sales opportunities and enhancement opportunities.
Communicate in a professional and knowledgeable manner with customers about the job you are performing, and concerns customers may have.
Document accurately and keep records of work performed.
Ability to use smart phones for routing, billing, timekeeping, and records.
Become a subject matter expert in weed/pest identification, pesticides and fertility requirements of turf grass and landscape ornamentals.
Keep certification current and seek out continuing education opportunities.
Monitor and prevent equipment damage.
Assist with snow removal and other general maintenance tasks.
Maintain awareness and provide feedback on customer relationship and the customer's perceptions of the product and service being provided, to maximize customer retention.
Provide excellent communication and customer service skills to build trust and create positive customer experiences.
Ability to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as necessary to reach goals.
Other duties as assigned.
