The Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Studies, Process Design, and Basic Design Packages relating to Wood's proprietary Sulfur Recovery technology as well as miscellaneous engineering projects related to sour water stripping, tail gas treating, thermal treatment, and incineration.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities
The Project manager applies knowledge of the organization's work processes and business practices and a solid understanding of the roles and functions of assigned human resources to plan, organize, direct and control all activities on assigned project(s)
Work closely and effectively with customers, vendors and subcontractors
Responsible for design and supply of Wood's proprietary burner on schedule and within Budget
Responsible for ensuring QA/QC and FAT for Wood's proprietary burner
Pursue and develop opportunities for innovation, such as digitalization and technology use, workshare and high value engineering centers, to bring value to Wood and customer
Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
Regularly reports project progress to senior management and/or the customer.
Responsible for meeting or exceeding the as-sold financial objective, timely delivery and achieving a high degree of customer satisfaction
Negotiates changes to project scope or specification with the customer. Follows Change Management process to identify and approve modifications to scope, cost, schedule and quality
Use sound judgment concerning the need to consult with management and other experts
Day-to-day supervision is administrative and consultative
Leads ongoing focus on risk identification and mitigation during project execution
Responsible for the project HSSE leadership, ensures a program of initiatives and auditing schedule are established and that HSSE and quality management issues are proactively addressed
Facilitates the set-up of information management systems / applications as applicable to suit various life phases of projects and manage information management project team
Participate in assurance activities and peer reviews
Track, manage, and forecast the workload for the Salt Lake City personnel
Contributes to and reviews the project proposal and plan to determine timeframe, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project. Contributes to setting project evaluation parameters.
While accepting responsibility for all phases of the project, recognizes that the various department managers have ultimate responsibility, through the assigned managing and lead project team members, for the technical adequacy of the work and may, therefore, monitor the work related to their discipline at any time

Expected:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
Professional Engineering license in UTAH, preferred to have PE in additional states
20+ year of overall industry experience, including 10+ years project management experience on a variety of engineering and equipment supply projects
In-depth knowledge of sulfur related technologies
Must be able to review and approve Burner Drawings for fabrication
Must be able to deal with a variety of domestic and foreign clients and suppliers
Well-versed in international and company quality assurance standards
In-depth knowledge of US and international codes and standards (ASME, API, CE stamping, etc)
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
