Location: Snap-on Diagnostics, located at 5500 Hellyer Avenue, Suite #100, San Jose, CA
Internship Dates: Summer 2025 with flexibility to continue into the 2025-2026 school year
Internship Type: In-person, 15 - 30 hours per week with the flexibility to adapt work hours to accommodate school schedules
Responsibilities
Assists with testing responsibilities as needed
Troubleshooting to find root cause of issues identified during testing - isolate test issues vs system component issues
Communication of test status and results to key stakeholders
Work cross teams to identify, define key metrics and setup performance benchmarks
Assist in the development and execution of manual functional and automation test cases
Qualifications
Associates Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, software engineering or Electronic Engineering
Know basics of software testing relates to server-side functionalities
Strong data structure and algorithm foundation
Good test sense, can think into detail of a complex thing, exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills
Familiar with java, MySQL, Oracle, Linux
Understanding of basic under-hood automotive electronics and their purpose
Some knowledge in Automotive background i.e., ECU, system components, troubleshooting, operating scanners, electrical components and circuits
Knowledge of Bug tracking software
Familiar with test setup and fixtures
Good writing skills
Significant experience using word processing, spreadsheet, business presentation and database software
Comprehensive computer user knowledge
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and organizational skills
Self-directed, self-motivated, able to work independently
