Job Description:

Title: Maintenance Associate

Institution: Volunteer State Community College

Job Summary:

To perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure a smoothly run campus and learning environment.

Job Duties:

Install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other similar equipment. Perform plumbing to include assembling, installing, repairing; pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems, opening clogged drains. Perform carpenter duties which include the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures and furniture. Maintain tools in a clean and working condition and observe safety procedures when using tools. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
One year of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of carpentry tools, electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance practices.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Pay Rate: $34,736 - $41,684 annual salary depending on experience
